Insanity: Revisited

"Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
This quote is attributed to Albert Einstein. I'm sure it has been said in another form sometime before him.

In my attempt to confirm the source of the quote, I read some opinions regarding the meaning. This apparently made ME feel the need to spout my thoughts. Follow me, will you?

While on the issue of literal interpretation, no this is not the actual definition of insanity. Of course it isn't.

But, what it does mean, is that if all of the variables in an environment remain at a constant state (not changing), performing the same action or actions in that environment will yield the same results every time.

From Einstein's perspective, it may be just a scientific-based thought he felt could be attributed to life.

In life, what this all means is WAKE UP! If you are tired of something not changing, maybe YOU need to make the change.

Now a quote from the comedian Brian Regan:

"They always say that Albert Einstein was a genius. Then how come when anyone ever calls you that, it's an insult? 'You don't know where you parked the car? Good job, Einstein.' I don't think we're honoring that man properly by using his name in vain in parking lots."
